Professional Make-up Artist ILONA GARAMVOLGYI has worked with some of the most celebrated people in Europe and Hollywood. Her training and education, along with her affable personality provides her clients with a dependable, detail-oriented, and multi-faceted professional to add to the success of the creative team of any project, within the production budget and schedule, regardless of the nature, scope or location.
Ilona started her studies in Law, when she realized that Make-up was her dream and that complimented her artistic skills, from 1997 to 1999 she qualified as a beautician and professional make-up artist (Schonheitsspezialistin und elektrokozmetikspezialistin) at the Avant-Garde Swiss School. She then followed at the Temesvary Karoly Private School 1999-2002. Her focuses remained on fulfilling her dream, so she continued her studies further at Professional Make-up 2002 in Hungary , from then on she followed Dr. Derm – face and body specialist.
While she was enhancing her artistic skills with her studies at the same time she was working for TV channels, Magazines, Commercial companies as well as Fashion TV. Ilona moved to Cyprus by the end of 2004 , and her career had a great impact on her life as she was a step away from living her Hollywood dream. 2006-2008 she left for the US, she studied and worked at Joe Blasco Make-Up Centers Hollywood, California professional make-up and prosthetic Artist.
The last 11 years Ilona has been based in Cyprus and has a very successful portfolio on the Island with many Magazines, TV shows, Fashion shows, Celebrities from Greece and Cyprus as well as a TV Production with Vassilis Mazomenos – Guilt.
Nowadays Ilona has her own Makeup School, and creating her own brand.
Ilona places her career first and continues to challenge herself everyday, speaking languages Hungarian, Greek, English, also some German and Russian. Her diverse background and experience creates a unique style accredited only to her and her artistic talent. She has the innate ability to bring out the natural beauty of her subject, no matter the gender, ethnicity or character portrayal.
